Care in your own home - When you need it.
Our personal care and support package enables you to be
independent and comfortable in your own home.
Our service is tailored to your personal needs and is
available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, every day of the
year.
You might need our service for a short period or perhaps
indefinitely, but if your needs change our package can
change too.
How can we help you?
Hazelhead Homecare will design a package of care based on
your needs. You might be able to do some things for yourself
but need support with others. Your personal care package
could include all or some of the following:

laundry, ironing and other household tasks.

tasks, meal preparation ironing bed making and laundry.
Personal care:

care, commode emptying, bathing and showering, shaving and
dental care.
Social care:
Companionship, outings and shopping. Collection of pensions
and some shopping.
Medication:
Prompting you to take your medication at the proper time.
Movement:
Safe usage of any equipment such as hoists, adaptations,
safe movement in and out of bed, the bathroom and toilet.
Who will come and help you?
All staffs are employed by Hazelhead Homecare and are
closely supervised by our management. Our care staffs
undergo a rigorous selection process including a full PVG
check, to insure protection of vulnerable adults and a
minimum of two reference checks from professional people and
previous employers.
Before starting to help people in their homes our staff are
given full 5 day training and induction course, this
includes moving and handling, health and safety, first aid
personal care and communication skills. This is followed by
a course of shadowing where the new carer “shadows” an
existing experienced carer until such time as the new carer
feels competent to work alone.
Staffs are employed for probationary period before being
considered for further specialist training and
qualifications such as SVQ 2 in Social Care.
Many of Hazelhead Homecare’s 340 staff are working towards
SVQ level training in care any other training needs are
identified through regular appraisal and supervision
procedures.
We have a reserve bank of fully trained carers who are
available at short notice to assist should they be required.
Continuing development of staff skills is one of the
companies’ main objectives. Professional development
training and regular refresher courses are always in
progress and this insures a quality and experienced
workforce.
There is also a
formal complaints procedure should you feel that any concern has
not been resolved to your satisfaction. |
