About

Hazelhead Homecare Ltd. was established in 1995 in a small office located “Hazelhead House” in Carluke, South Lanarkshire. As one of the first independent Care at Home and Housing Support service providers, we formed our company because of the growing demand for Care and Support services to be provided in peoples own home rather than in a residential setting.

We believe all individuals in need of care deserve to have a say in how their service is delivered. We pride ourselves in involving our clients and their loved ones in taking an active role in the planning and provision of their care, ensuring we provide a consistent, reliable and excellent quality service.

Our Philosophy

Our philosophy is that our service users should always be treated as individuals. This means we respect their right to freedom, and prioritise their choices, privacy and confidentially.

We offer a service user centric and holistic approach, ensuring the involvement of service users and their family in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of our support.

We are registered and regulated by the Care Inspectorate to provide Care at Home and Housing Support services. All of our staff meet the standards published within the Codes of Practice for Social Care workers as published by the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).

To ensure we are continually providing a quality service, we pride ourselves on employing the highest trained and passionate team.

We look to support the local employment of staff within the areas we provide services in, and to ensure we have the rights people, we select our staff based on their Social Care values and commitment to supporting individuals in Care at Home and Housing Support Services. This is validated by us being recognised as an Investors in People employer since 2006, and paying over the real Living Wage since 2021.

We continually invest in the training and personal development of our staff to ensure our staff continue to develop their knowledge in Social Care thus providing better outcomes for our service users in our Care and Support Services. This begins with an intensive training course, to ensure our team feel confident out in the community. Then, they shadow our experienced Care Assistants to put all their practise to the test. Additionally, we offer a full SVQ3 to ensure our team are continually gaining skills and fresh knowledge in the field.
